One parent would go look the new model washing machines, and the other would pull you by the hand through the perfume cloud of JC Penney's gates and ask the girl standing under the flickering fluorescents in the slacks department to find your size?  Fair enough, but consider for a moment that JCPenney was founded in the very early 1900s in Wyoming. That's not your childhood mall. Over the years and their storied retail empire, JC Penney had a ton of different apparel brands like "Women at Work," "Big Mac," "Towncraft" and more. JCPenney was how most of America got their fashion, at least at one point.
